PhDsoft, a global engineering and technology company, is developing the modeling of infrastructure assets at the Terminal Multicargas (T-MULT) of Porto do Açu, creating digital twins (simulation of structures to enable advanced analyses). The modeling is part of a project funded through resources obtained via Finep financing.
In addition to equipment and assets at T-MULT, including the terminal’s berthing quay, PhDsoft will also model the nautical signaling buoys in the access channel to Terminal 2 at the port.
The use of C4D, PhDsoft’s digital twin platform, reinforces Porto do Açu’s pioneering role and represents PhDsoft’s expansion into the port sector, covering various types of assets at Açu. This initiative digitally transforms engineering processes to support inspection, maintenance, integrity management, and cost optimization activities.
Porto do Açu is serving as a “laboratory” for PhDsoft to carry out this research and development project on digital twins applied to the port sector, aligning with Açu’s broader initiatives focused on innovation and digital transformation. The port-industrial complex aims to attract cutting-edge technologies and is also a pioneer in Brazil in implementing a VTS Center and using virtual AtoN.
