Prumo Logística, the holding company responsible for the Port of Açu, achieved a major milestone in 2024: it ranked among the top three in the Transportation and Logistics category of the renowned Valor Inovação Brasil Awards, organized by Strategy&, PwC’s strategic consulting arm, in partnership with the newspaper Valor Econômico. The award, which celebrates the most innovative companies in the country, highlighted the impressive results achieved by the Prumo Group and Cais Açu Lab, the Port of Açu’s innovation ecosystem.

 

In the 10th edition of the Valor Inovação Brasil Award, leading companies in 25 sectors of the economy were recognized, in addition to the 10 most innovative companies in the country. The ranking included the 150 most innovative companies, based on transformative initiatives, investments, and intellectual property.

 

The numbers for this edition reinforce the relevance of the award:

• 309 companies registered from 25 sectors, an increase of 10% over the previous year;
• 273 companies eligible for evaluation;
• 770 cases analyzed, with 265 intellectual properties confirmed;
• 85 billion reais invested in innovation, 15 billion more than in 2023.

Prumo Logística’s prominence reflects the strategic role of innovation at the Port of Açu, which integrates innovative practices into its processes and projects through Cais Açu Lab. Innovation has driven efficiency, sustainability, and digital transformation at the largest private port-industry complex in Latin America.
