PhDsoft, a global engineering and technology company, is developing infrastructure asset modeling for the Multicargo Terminal (T-MULT) at the Port of Açu, creating digital twins (simulation of structures to promote advanced analysis). The modeling is part of a project funded by Finep.
In addition to T-MULT equipment and assets, including the Terminal’s mooring pier, PhDsoft will also model the nautical signaling buoys in the access channel to Terminal 2 of the Port.
The use of C4D, PhDsoft’s digital twin, attests to the pioneering spirit of the Port of Açu and represents PhDsoft’s expansion in the port sector, serving various types of assets in Açu, digitally transforming engineering to meet inspection, maintenance, integrity, and cost optimization activities.
The Port of Açu is serving as a “laboratory” for PhDsoft to carry out its research and development project on digital twins applied to the port area, which is in line with Açu’s initiatives focused on innovation and digital transformation. The port-industry complex seeks to attract the best in technology, also pioneering in Brazil the implementation of a VTS Center and the use of virtual AtoN.
Watch the video presentation of our project with Naval Engineer Alexander! In it, we offer an exclusive look at the main aspects, the prospects for the next steps, and the impact that this innovation is already having on the Port of Açu.
