The signing of a technical cooperation agreement between the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and the Port of Açu marks the beginning of a strategic partnership that will strengthen the connection between academia and the port sector. This collaboration, promoted by Cais Açu Lab, will allow UFF professors and students to actively participate in the development of applied research, development, and innovation projects, using the Port of Açu as a platform for developing new opportunities for the sector.
Professor Newton Pereira, from the School of Industrial Metallurgical Engineering of Volta Redonda (EEIMVR/UFF) and UFF representative in the project, highlights that this partnership is an opportunity for mutual development: “This strategic partnership between both institutions will allow, in the near future, the generation of new knowledge, as well as technological and scientific development within the scope of this agreement.”
To illustrate the vision and objectives of this partnership, we will show an exclusive interview with Professor Newton Pereira, where he shares his perspectives on the impact and potential of this initiative. We are excited about the advances that this connection will bring, integrating academic knowledge with the practical and innovative demands of the Port of Açu.
