The best ideas compete for more than R$30,000 in prizes.
The third edition of HackAçu, the innovation marathon promoted by the Port of Açu and Cais Açu Lab, which aims to promote innovation and sustainable development in the North of Rio de Janeiro, where the Port of Açu is located, has started. Registration is free and is now open on the website hackcu.com.br.
The event, completely online and free of charge, will bring together students and market professionals in a collaborative competition to develop real solutions that can be implemented. Since its inception, the event has been a meeting point for creative and innovative minds, contributing significantly to the development of the region. More than three thousand participants have been involved and 85 solutions have been developed so far. For Wanderson Sousa, Community Relations Manager at the Port of Açu, Hackaçu is a platform for driving change through innovation and entrepreneurship.
“Porto do Açu believes in local potential and is committed to investing in development, seeking initiatives that make sense for our region. With each edition, we exceed our expectations when we see the creativity and materialization of innovative solutions that can truly improve people’s quality of life,” says Sousa.
During the marathon, participants will work intensively to create innovative solutions and will receive mentoring, project management content, and access to essential tools to develop their ideas. At the end, the projects will be evaluated based on feasibility, creativity, innovation, and impact.
All solutions created will be made available for consultation in an open database, allowing the community to benefit. Participants will receive certificates, and the best solutions will compete for prizes in electronic products, such as notebooks, cell phones, watches, among others.
HackAçu will take place between September 27 and 29, 2024, and interested parties from all over Brazil can register for free at hackacu.com.br.
